At around 11.30pm on Sunday 28 August 2022, a man is seen on CCTV smash a front door window to an Op Shop on Balcatta Road in Balcatta to gain entry. Once inside the man entered an office and attempted to break open a safe using a sledge hammer. When unsuccessful the man starts hitting a second safe and when he realises the safe is not bolted in, he places the safe in a bag and leaves the building. This safe, although locked was empty.

Police have released CCTV and images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: brown skinned with a slim build. He was wearing a dark coloured coat and trousers, black runners  with a scarf covering his face and head.
