At around 4:40pm on Friday 1 January 2021 a man was captured on CCTV attempting to gain access to a house on Harris Street in Carlisle.

 

The man attempted to open the front door of the house. When unsuccessful he entered the rear yard of the property and attempted to open the back doors.

 

After being unable to gain access via any doors of the house he turned his attention toward the garden shed. The man rummaged through the shed and took a pair of gloves.

 

As then man left the property he dropped one of the gloves, leaving in possession of a singular glove.

 

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: light skinned, solid build, around 170cm tall and approximately 20-30 years old. He wore a cap, hooded jumper and shorts.
