Around 5pm on Wednesday 15 January 2020, a man entered the yard of a property in Mount Hawthorn which caused a dog to bark, alerting the owner who was inside. As the man entered the front door, he was confronted by the home owner and the man left in a hurry. He left behind a bicycle and a backpack and managed to yell a threat towards the homeowner as he left.

The man was seen to walk to a nearby park before losing sight of him. A check of the backpack revealed items believed to be stolen from burglaries in the area.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: Dark skinned, around 30 years of age and a medium build. He was wearing a Black Nike cap with red peak, dark shorts, distinctive white and black runners and black singlet.
