At around 10.20am on Friday 23 August 2024, a man entered an electronics store on Beeliar Drive in Success and made a $4,500 purchase using a bankcard fraudulently obtained from the victim who is 87 years of age. Earlier that morning the victim handed her bankcard with pin number to a man claiming to be from the victim’s bank saying her bankcard was faulty and needed to be replaced.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 25 to 35 years of age with black hair, short beard and moustache. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black trousers, tan boots with a black cap.
