At around 2.30pm on Wednesday 2 June 2021, a woman entered a bottle shop on Guildford Road in Maylands and made a purchase using a stolen bank card. Only one hour earlier, a purse containing the bank card had been stolen from a shopper’s handbag which was hanging from the shopper’s shoulder while she was in a supermarket.

A further 14 purchases were made using the stolen bank card at various stores in Maylands on the same day.

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The woman is described as: brown skinned, slim build, with black hair tied back and between 30 to 40 years of age. She was wearing a black adidas T-shirt, black trousers, blue and white striped sliders and carrying a black handbag.
