UPDATE: A 32 year old woman from Parmelia has been charged with 2 x Possess stolen or unlawfully obtained property. The investigation is ongoing in relation to the handbag being stolen from the vehicle.
Rockingham Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with information to assist with their investigation into a Robbery in Baldivis on Friday 11 January 2019.
Around 2.30pm, a pregnant woman was in an area on Old Mandurah Road, Baldivis near her vehicle in a car parking area. She saw a man walk up to her vehicle and use a rock, smashing the window. The woman called out and the man threatened her with violence before he reached in and grabbed a handbag from the front seat. He was seen to run to a white Holden commodore sedan parked nearby and was seen to drive off towards Safety Bay Road. Also in the vehicle was a woman.
Inside the bag was the victim’s purse and a mobile phone, which contained treasured photos of her pregnancy.
The man is described as fair skinned, between 30 and 35 years of age, thin build, approximately 183 cm tall with short cropped brown. He was wearing a white T shirt.
Around 4.00pm the following day, Saturday 12 January 2019, a woman entered a mobile phone store at a shopping centre in Success and used the victim’s stolen identification to purchase two mobile phones valued in excess of $3,300.
The woman is described as fair skinned, approximately 30 years of age, medium build with light brown/blonde hair. She was wearing a red and black chequered shirt, black coloured ripped jeans, black coloured shoes and a light coloured baseball cap.
Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
