Gosnells Police are seeking assistance with an incident that occurred at a pharmacy along Stalker Road, Gosnells on Tuesday 5 March 2019.

Around 4pm, a woman entered the pharmacy and approached the prescriptions counter, presenting two prescriptions to a staff member.

The pharmacist had reason to believe the prescriptions were fraudulent, so they attempted to call the issuing doctor to validate the scripts.

The doctor was unreachable and the woman was asked to wait in the store while the pharmacist waited for a call back. An extended period of time passed and no call was received.

Due to the nature of the medication, the pharmacist honoured the prescription and the woman left the store. Later in the, it was confirmed that it was a fraudulent prescription.

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

She is described as fair skinned with a medium build, 40-50 years of age, blonde hair with streaks of blue. She was last seen wearing a pink spotted shirt.

If you have any information about the identity of this man or details of this offence please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
