At around 9.30pm on Tuesday 15 February 2022, the victim was walking along Guildford Road in Maylands and observed a man riding a stolen E-scooter towards him being chased by the owner of the scooter. The victim grabbed hold of the scooter as it rode past and while struggling with the rider, a man approached from behind and struck the victim to the side of the face causing multiple fractures to his face.

The scooter rider managed to ride away and the man who struck the victim ran off.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 20 to 25 years of age. He was wearing a grey ‘Raiders’ jumper, black trousers, black cap with black runners.
