Bedfordale is a semi rural suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Armadale. It is approximately 34km south east of Perth and approximately 6km south east of Armadale.

On Saturday 29 June 1991, Miss Turner, attended Pinocchio’s nightclub in Murray Street, Perth. She hitchhiked with a friend to the nightclub from her friend’s home in Armadale, arriving at about 10:30pm. At the nightclub, Miss Turner became separated from her friend, however mingled with different people until about 4:00am on Sunday 30 June 1991, where she caught a Taxi by herself from Murray Street, Perth to travel home. During the trip, the driver of the taxi became aware that Miss Turner did not have money to pay for the fare, dropping her off on the Causeway in East Perth.

A number of witnesses saw Miss Turner both sitting on the kerb on the Causeway and trying to hitch a ride. Miss Turner was picked up by another taxi on the causeway but was again, dropped off on the side of Shepperton Road near Millar Street, East Victoria Park, at about 5.00am, when the driver became aware Miss Turner did not have the means to pay her fare. This location was directly opposite Café Affair, now known as Conca’s Italian Restaurant.

Shortly afterwards a vehicle pulled up next to Miss Turner. The vehicle was travelling South East on Shepperton Road when it stopped. Miss Turner was seen getting into the car on the passenger side and the car continued south east on Shepperton Road.

Miss Turner did not return home that night and on 1 July 1991, her parents reported her missing.

Almost a month later around 4:00pm on Sunday 28 July 1991, people visiting the Bedfordale area, discovered Miss Turner’s body in bush land, hidden behind a log and fully clothed.

The person or persons responsible for Miss Turner’s death have not yet been identified.
