At around 5.30pm on Thursday 6 January 2022, a man attempted to exit a retail store on Bulwer Street in Perth with a basket of items without paying. A staff member confronted the man about returning the items not paid for. The man punched the staff member and then punched a second staff member who came to assist. When members of the public intervened the man rode away on a nearby bicycle.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: tanned skin, medium build, between 35 to 45 years of age with a dark coloured beard and moustache, He was wearing a black T-shirt, three quarter grey pants, a black baseball cap, sunglasses and carrying a black backpack.
