Around 2am on Saturday 9 February 2019, the 19 year old victim was walking on James Street Northbridge, near William Street with some friends. As the male walked past the victim he grabbed a packet of tobacco poking out of the victim’s pocket. As the victim turned around, he was punched to the face once. The male walked off with the packet of tobacco.

As a result of the assault, the victim received two broken teeth and required dental treatment.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The male is described as: Brown skinned, late teens to early twenties, medium build and approximately 180cm tall. He was wearing  distinctive multi coloured striped short sleeve shirt, dark baseball cap with red emblem on front and long dark pants.
