Around 8.40pm on Wednesday 23 December 2020, a man was approached by another male who began shouting verbal abuse towards him on Whatley Crescent Bayswater near the underpass.


The man shaped up in a fighting stance and threw a punch, hitting him in the jaw. He then demanded jewellery from the victim. The victim took his slide on shoes off so he could run away. In the process, he dropped one of them, which was picked up by the man and he left the scene.


Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.


The man is described as: Light skinned, thin buil, around 30 years of age, wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
