At around 4.05pm on Thursday 1 December 2022, a woman walked out of a retail store on Yirrigan Drive in Mirrabooka making no attempt to pay for a trolley load of items taken from the store. A staff member confronted the woman outside the store taking hold of the trolley asking her to return and pay for the items. When the woman unsuccessfully tried to pull the trolley away, she punched the staff member numerous times to the face and body. Only when a bystander intervened did the woman walk off empty handed.

Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The woman is described as: brown skinned, slim build with dark brown hair pulled up into a bun on top of her head. She was wearing a green and white pattern dress, white joggers, spectacles with a black shoulder bag hanging on her left hip.
