Around 4.00pm Sunday 04 April 2021 a man has entered a jewellery store in the Midland Gate Shopping Centre.

The man asked to look at a solid gold chain necklace of high value. When the man was handed the gold chain he held the gold chain up to his neck as if he was about to try it on. The man then ran from the store with the gold chain.

When the man exited the shopping centre he jumped onto a ‘Razor; electric scooter parked near the exit belonging to a shopping centre customer and has ridden away.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: fair skinned, slim build, dark brown hair, wearing a black T-shirt with a grey jumper.
