At around 3.55pm on Sunday 29 January 2023, a man entered a Pet supply store on Abernethy Road in Belmont and picked up three 1kg bags of dry dog food placing them into a carry bag. The man left the store without making payment and was confronted by two staff members in the car park who retrieved the dog food. The man jumped into a silver Holden Astra being driven by a female.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 40 to 50 years of age with collar length fair hair. He was wearing a blue singlet, blue jeans with a white bucket hat and carrying a blue bag.
