At around 12.00pm on Friday 31 May, the victim entered a store on Albany Highway in Cannington. The victim placed her handbag on the ground and tried on a jacket. During this time an unknown woman entered the store and grabbed the bag from the ground. When staff confronted the woman she claimed it was her sisters bag and left the store.
Police have released CCTV images of a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The woman is described as: slim build, dark skinned with dark hair. The woman was wearing black track pants, a black and yellow Adidas track jacket and a black beanie.
