Around 2pm on Sunday 3 March 2019, a man entered a jewellery store located on Attfield Street in Maddington. He browsed the store for a short time before asking to try on an engagement ring. The employee handed the man a ring and he tried it on. He found the ring to be too large for his finger. He returned the ring and tried on another. He placed the second ring on his finger and ran from store.
The ring is described as 21K gold with white gold, valued at $570.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: 18-25 years of age, light brown skinned and a thin build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, striped black and white polo shirt, black shorts and sunglasses.
