At around 2.40pm on Thursday 19 May 2022, a man is observed by a staff member loading his trolley with numerous items as he walked around inside a retail store on Belmont Avenue in Cloverdale. When the trolley was full, the man walked straight out of the store making no attempt to pay for any of the products. The staff member stopped the man and retrieved all the items valued at over $400. The man was followed into Wright Street where he disappeared.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: tanned skin, slim build with short dark brown hair balding on top of his head. He was wearing an olive green shirt and dark coloured trousers.
