Belmont Police are seeking assistance with a stealing incident that occurred at a shopping centre along Belmont Avenue, Cloverdale on Wednesday 3 July 2019.


Around 5:15pm, a woman was walking around the centre when she approached the 37-year-old female victim from behind and removed a purse from her handbag.


The victim confronted the woman, however she denied taking the purse and left the area.


Police have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.


She is described as dark skinned, medium build dark coloured hair and approximately 25-30 years of age. She was seen wearing a black hooded jumper and dark coloured pants.
