At around 4.39pm on Tuesday 3 December 2024, a man entered a liquor store on Great Eastern Highway in Midland. Staff suspected the man was heavily intoxicated and refused to serve him. Staff watched as he grabbed a bottle of wine and placed it in his bag. He apologised to the staff and told them he wouldn’t steal again. They informed him that if he stole the bottle of wine, he wouldn’t be welcome back. He proceeded to exit the store without paying.
Police have released CCTV images of the man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: dark skinned, slim build with dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing a black top, black jacket, black pants and was carrying a black backpack.
