At around 12.10pm on Wednesday 24 January 2024, the two victims who are both highly ranked track bike racing cyclists in WA, stopped outside a café on James Street in Guildford while on a training ride together. They parked their road bikes up against a wall and while inside the café for a few minutes, two persons jumped onto their bikes and rode off. One bike is an orange and black ‘Merida’ and the second is a light blue ‘Factor’.

Police have released CCTV images of two persons who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first person is described as: white skinned, medium build, between 30 to 40 years of age and bald. He was wearing a white t-shirt, navy blue shorts, black sneakers, sunglasses and was carrying a black man bag.

The second person is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 30 to 35 years of age with long blonde hair tied back, and was wearing a light blue shirt, black shorts, black and white sneakers, carrying a small blue bag.
