At around 2.00pm on Thursday 21 December 2023, the elderly victim was at the Bull Creek train station on Leach Highway in Bicton, when she realised that her purse was missing from inside her handbag. That same afternoon the victim’s bankcard from her purse was used to make eight fraudulent purchases in Bicton, Melville and for two taxi rides.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, medium build, between 30 to 35 years of age with short dark hair and tattoos visible on his left arm, right upper arm and left lower leg. He was wearing a white ‘Helly Hansen’ t-shirt, blue shorts with black sneakers.
