Scarborough Police are seeking assistance with a stealing incident that occurred at a grocery store along Main Street, Osborne Park on Wednesday 7 November 2018.
Around 4:30pm a man has browsed the shelves in the store, before selecting several items and placing them in his bag.
As the man left the store, he was stopped by staff who asked to look inside his bag. He became aggressive towards them and verbally abused a staff member. He then removed the items from his bag, placed them on a counter and ran away.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
He is described as fair skinned with a slim build, aged between 25-30 years of age with long dark hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, dark coloured pants, a white headband and sunglasses.
