At around 1.00pm on Saturday 25 June 2022, the victim was at a playground in a park on Melville Parade in Como. While the victim’s back was turned, a man in company with another man, grabbed her handbag on a bench near the victim and ran off with it. A bank card inside the handbag was used soon after to make two fraudulent purchases in Karawara.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, short black hair with a thin beard and moustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and black runners.
