Around 3.30pm on Tuesday 8 December 2020, a man entered a retail store at a shopping centre on Scarborough Beach Road and asked to try on a pair of sunglasses. A staff member assisted and the sunglasses were tried on by the man. The staff member assisted a further customer and the man has grabbed a second pair of sunglasses from a display and ran from the store. The retail value of the sunglasses, amounted to more than $760.

 

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: Olive skinned, 30-35 years of age, thin build, 180cm tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt under a light blue dress shirt, blue shorts and black sneakers. He was carrying a satchel bag over his left shoulder.
