At around 3.30pm on Saturday 19 October 2024, a man entered a supermarket on South Street in Hilton. The man walked around the store, selecting numerous items and placing them in his backpack. As he passed a sales display, the man grabbed two packaged knives and placed them in his waist band. As he attempted to leave the store without paying, staff confronted him and retrieved the food from his bags, however not the knives.
Police have released CCTV images of the man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, average build and balding with short dark stubble. The man was wearing an orange hi vis jumper and headphones.
