At around 6.30pm on Sunday 20 February 2022, a man and woman entered a restaurant on William Street in Fremantle. Both are seen on CCTV reach over the front counter and grab three handbags belonging to staff before running out of the restaurant. Staff chased after the man and woman causing them to drop two of the handbags that were retrieved.

Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: light skinned, medium build and between 35 to 45 years of age. He was wearing a grey hooded ‘Chicago Bulls’ jumper, black and white shorts with a beige baseball cap.

The woman is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 35 t0 45 years of age with blonde hair tied up on top of her head. She was wearing a blue T-shirt, grey shorts, thongs and carrying a shoulder bag.
