At around 4.00pm on Thursday 27 April 2023, two men entered a book store on William Street in Northbridge. While the one man distracted a staff member, the other man removed a cast iron sign from a display cabinet and concealed it on his person. Both men then exited the store with the cast iron sign.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first man is described as: tanned skin, slim build with short dark brown hair and rat tail at the back. He was wearing a white t-shirt, light coloured shorts, white shoes with sunglasses.

The second man is described as: light skinned, slim build with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white design on the front, black trousers and black shoes.
