At around 5.15pm on Thursday 22 April 2021, CCTV at the train station on William Street in Perth captures a mobile phone drop from a woman’s handbag onto the ground while the woman was walking towards the exit point. A man is seen picking up the phone and passing through the exit point making no attempt to notify the security guard standing nearby that he had picked up the mobile phone.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, medium build with blonde short hair. He was wearing a white short sleeved shirt, long black trousers, a backpack, white headphones and carrying a blue and white bag.
