At around 10:30pm on Tuesday 15 September 2020 a man was caught on CCTV attempting to open a front door on Orpington Street, Cloverdale. After being unable to open the secure door, the man spent several minutes tapping on the door. The man then noticed a security camera capturing his movements. Suddenly aware he was being filmed the man spent several moments making obscene gestures to the camera, before leaving on foot in the direction of Epsom Avenue.

 

Various other members of the community have also reported a man of a similar description trying to open and knocking on front doors on the same night.

 

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: 18-25 years old, olive skin tone, slim build, with curly dark hair. He wore a hooded jumper.
