Around 6am on Friday 29 March 2019, two registration plates were removed from a vehicle parked on the road outside a house on Paget Street Hilton.

Around 1.55pm later that day, a person knocked on the front door of a house on Snook Crescent Hilton. The occupant was unable to answer the door immediately and they heard a noise in the driveway. He looked out the window to see a white coloured Ford Courier utility (with the stolen plates from earlier) towing his unregistered Nissan Navara out of the driveway onto the road.

The man jumped into his other vehicle and was able to catch up with the white Ford Courier in a nearby street. Once confronted, the man driving the Ford, un-hitched the Navara and he drove away.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: Light skinned, 35-45 years of age, thin build with dark hair and a greying beard and mustache. He was wearing an ‘ACDC’ t-shirt and dark jeans.

The woman is described as: Light skinned, medium/solid build with brown hair tied up. She was wearing a dark jumper and blue ¾ pants.

If you have any information about the identity of this man or details of this offence please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. You can remain anonymous if you wish and rewards are available once charges are laid. Please quote Reference Number 9212.
