At around 6.45pm on Friday 30 June 2023, the victim was inside a gaming centre on Lake Street in Northbridge playing a racing arcade game against a man unknown to the victim. After an exchange of words between the two, the man took out a glass bottle from his bag and swung the bottle at the victim. The bottle shattered as it struck the victim’s hand raised in self-defence causing deep cuts to his hand and wrist.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 30 to 40 years of age with black curly collar length hair and a black beard and moustache. He was wearing a white ‘Polo Sport’ jumper with matching white ‘Polo Sport’ shorts, white socks with blue runners, blue cap and he was carrying a black shoulder bag.
