Regional Investigations Unit Detectives are investigating a series of armed robberies that they believe may be linked.
Around 7.30pm on Sunday 23 September 2018, a man entered a liquor store on Sommerville Boulevard in Winthrop, with his face covered and in possession of a large knife. The man demanded money from the staff member before jumping over the counter. The staff member grabbed the man and dragged him out of the front door and the man ran away empty handed.
Around an hour later, detective believe the same man entered a service station on Feilman Drive Leda, as a customer exited. He approached the counter with his face covered, saying he was armed and made threats towards the staff member. He jumped over the counter and removed cash from the till, placing it into a plastic bag, jumping over the counter and leaving the store.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
