Fremantle Detectives are investigating an Aggravated Burglary that occurred in South Lake on Friday 21 August 2020.

Around 3.10am, a man in his 70’s was at his home address in Glenbawn Drive when he heard a suspicious noise outside his address. A short time later a front window was smashed. As the elderly man got up, his front door began to be smashed in and he could hear two male voices. The elderly man stood behind his door as it was being smashed and yelled out “Ring 000”. As this was happening, part of the door caved in, striking the elderly man to his leg.

The men left the area empty handed and police attended a short time later. The elderly man required medical assistance for the injury to his leg.
