At around 6.15pm on Monday 4 December 2023, the victim was walking alone along the shared cycle path parallel to the Kwinana Freeway in Bertram when he saw a motorcycle approaching him on the cycle path. The victim took out his mobile phone and recorded the rider as he rode past. The man riding the motorcycle stopped and pulled out a knife from his backpack and shouted at the victim to delete the video. When the victim started recording the man again he rode away.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: white skinned, slim build, between 20 to 30 years of age with brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt, black trousers, black shoes, sunglasses and was carrying a black backpack.
