Cannington Detectives are investigating a series of fires in the St James area on the evening of Friday 24 July 2020.

 

Just after 9pm, the occupants of a home on Berwick Street were alerted by neighbours that their vehicle was on fire out the front.

 

Over the next 15 minutes, a further three vehicles were set on fire, as well as a trampoline and a bin in nearby streets. A man was seen in this area at the time, acting suspiciously.

 

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: Around 25 years of age, medium build, shaved short hair and a medium build. He was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt, dark long pants and a baseball cap. He has a tattoo on his left inner upper arm and another on the back of his neck. The same man returned later without the baseball cap.
