At around 7.20pm on Wednesday 14 June 2023, the victim and his partner were sitting on a ferry coming in to dock at Elizabeth Quay in Perth, when a man on the ferry started up a conversation with the victim. A second man also engaged in conversation with the victim and as the ferry started docking at the wharf, the second man without any provocation punched the victim to his face multiple times before exiting the ferry.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, slim build, between 25 to 35 years of age with short brown hair. He was wearing a high-vis hooded jacket, navy blue cargo shorts with work boots.
