UPDATED: Detectives have charged a 15 year old boy with Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm and Common Assault in relation to this incident. Investigators are still following up information received through Crime Stoppers in relation to others that may have also been involved in this incident.

Perth Detectives are continuing their investigation in relation to a serious assault in the James Street Mall, Perth on Sunday 27 January 2019.

Around 1.30am, two men (both aged 22 years) left a nearby venue and were walking along the James Street Mall, Perth when they were approached by a group of people. The group surrounded the men and the victims were assaulted.

During the assault, one of the victims fell to the ground, rendering him unconscious for several minutes. The victim was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment. The other victim received minor injuries.

Perth Detectives have released further images of those they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The first man is described as: 16-20 years of age with a medium build. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black cap with light colour logo on the front, blue ripped jeans and white sneakers.

The second man is described as: 16-20 years of age with a medium build. He was wearing a white Nike Air t-shirt, shorts and had a flag draped around his shoulders.
