At around 1.15am on Saturday 4 March 2023, the victim exited from a licensed venue on James Street in Northbridge with his wife and friends. As they were walking along the footpath a man unknown to the victim and without provocation, punched the victim once to his face and ran off. The victim was treated at hospital for a fractured eye socket.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 20 to 30 years of age with a thin black moustache and short goatee. He was wearing darked coloured trousers, a black t-shirt with a black cap.
