At around 11:20pm on Saturday 23 January 2021 a man was assaulted on William Street in Northbridge.

 

The victim was walking along William Street towards James Street when two men began throwing objects at him. This occurred multiple times before the victim turned around and asked the men to stop.

 

The victim then turned back around, at which point was struck to the back of his head by one of the men. The victim was punched a second time to the head causing him to fall to the ground.

 

The two men then fled on foot.

 

The victim received cuts to his face as a result of the assault.

 

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: solid build, with black facial hair. He wore a dark cap, dark shirt and dark pants.
