At around 3.15pm on Sunday 17 April 2022, the victim was seated at a bus stand on Karrinyup Road in Karrinyup when a man unknown to the victim and who appeared agitated, engaged in a brief discussion with the victim. The man walked away and as the victim was about to board a bus the man returned and punched the victim to his throat from behind.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, medium build with light blonde coloured hair. He was seen wearing a dark shirt blue jeans, sneakers, a cap and a side-slung bag.
