At around 10.15pm on Monday 5 February, the victim and his partner approached a licensed premise on Murray Street in Perth. The victim approached a man who he believed had grabbed his partner. During this time an unknown man approached the victim and punched him in the face. The victim was punched multiple times in the head, chest and back, resulting in a black eye and a split lip.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: medium build, light skinned with short dark hair. The man was wearing a blue T-shirt, white pants, and white sneakers.
