At around 3.20am on Saturday 3 September 2022, the victim, a taxi driver picked up two men and two females on Newcastle Street in Perth asking to be taken to an address in Camillo. The victim was given fifty dollars towards the fare upfront but moments later one of the men asked for their money back. The victim pulled over, returned the fifty dollars and all the passengers exited the taxi. One of the men threw a glass bottle at the driver’s side window causing it to shatter and cut the back of the victim’s head.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as: brown skinned, medium build, between 30 to 40 years of age with a thin moustache. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket and beanie.
