At around 1.30am on Saturday 22 October 2022, a man entered a secure basement carpark in a residential complex on Forrest Avenue in East Perth and was seen on CCTV checking if vehicle doors were locked. A resident received notification on his phone of dash cam activation from his vehicle. The resident went to investigate and startled the man who ran from the carpark. One iPhone was reported stolen from a parked vehicle.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 40 to 50 years of age with wavy black hair. He was wearing a light coloured t-shirt with black print on the front and a black cap.
