At around 1:20am on Sunday 6 December 2020 a staff member was assaulted at a venue on The Esplanade in Scarborough.

 

The staff member asked a man to leave as the venue was closing. The man refused to leave the premises and became verbally abusive. The man struck the staff member in the face with a pint glass. He continued to be verbally abusive and threatening as he left. As a result of the incident the staff member received injuries to his face and hands.

 

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

 

The man is described as: light skinned, thin build, approximately 20-30 years old, with long brown hair and facial hair. The wore a multicoloured button up shirt, black jeans and black shoes.
