At around 8.20pm on Sunday 17 September 2023, the victim was working in a grocery store on Rockingham Road in Spearwood when his attention was drawn to a group of three males being rowdy in the store. The victim observed one of the males place numerous food items into a backpack and moved to the store exit. The victim blocked this male from leaving asking to check the backpack. The male shoved the victim out of the way before turning and spitting onto the victim’s face and walking off.

Police have released CCTV images of a male person who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The male person is described as: tan skinned, slim build, between 20 to 25 years of age with brown collar length hair and a thin moustache and beard. He was wearing a grey ‘GANT’ t-shirt, blue jeans, black joggers and was carrying a black backpack.
