At around 11.45pm on Friday 21 January 2022, the victim entered the train station on Roe Street in Perth through the turnstiles at Yagan Square. As the victim walked past a group of men, one man from the group said something to the victim before stepping out and punched the victim to the side of his head. As the victim fell to the ground, the man grabbed the victim’s phone and ran off, followed by the rest of his group.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: brown skinned, slim build, between 18 to 25 years of age with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a grey ‘Lakers’ jumper, grey trousers, a red bandana around his neck and red joggers.
