At around 3.40pm on Tuesday 8 August 2023, a man walked into a pharmacy on Spencer Road in Thornlie and started to roll a cigarette near the front counter.

When the victim who was a staff member advised the man that he couldn’t smoke in the pharmacy, the man suddenly started punching the victim numerous times. The man ran from the pharmacy leaving the victim with a broken thumb and bruising to her head, neck and shoulders.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: tan skinned, large build, between 40 to 50 years of age with short brown hair, moustache and an unshaven appearance. He was wearing a black jacket over a white t-shirt, black pants, white shoes, a black cap and was wearing prescription glasses.
