At around 2.30pm on Sunday 23 May 2021, a man entered a clothing store on Station Street in Subiaco and selected a number of clothing items which he placed into a shopping bag he was carrying. As the man exited the store an employee from the store approached the man asking him to return the items of clothing in his shopping bag. The man refused and after the employee took a photograph of the man he became enraged and grabbed the employee by the throat and pushed her away.
