At around 1.00am on Sunday 1 March 2020 a man was at a bar on William Street Northbridge.
While travelling through the bar he stopped to talk to two males about their shirts and then continued on his way.
A short time later one of the males hit the man to the side of his head, breaking his jaw and knocking him to the ground, before leaving the area.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skin, medium build wearing jeans and a brightly patterned dress shirt with sneakers.
